Last year, James Jones sat down at the magnificent organ at Pinnacle Presbyterian Church for his Festival debut. By the end of that concert, the audience was on its feet, cheering his skill, intensity and musicianship.
Jones is back! This young musical phenom will perform familiar works by Bach and Guilmant, plus dazzling contemporary music by Philips and Curnow. Joining him for the latter will be brass and percussion from the Arizona Musicfest Festival Orchestra.
Adding her considerable talents will be our Artist in Residence, Elizabeth Bishop. Another prodigiously gifted talent, this Metropolitan Opera star will sing Mozart, Copland and the evocative Ruckert Lieder by Gustav Mahler.
You and your friends raved about last year’s spectacular concert. Don’t miss another chance to experience the magnificence of “the king of instruments” in the hands of a young master.
